How to Bring Us Another Offer

Draft. Details below are placeholders and not yet final.

What to Bring

[PLACEHOLDER: a written offer from another buyer, dated within 7 days, for the same items, unaltered since the offer was made.]

What Happens at the Appointment

[PLACEHOLDER: we test and evaluate your items in front of you, as at any appointment, then compare the two offers honestly and tell you which one is better for you.]

One Note on Timing

[PLACEHOLDER: offers reflect the market price at the time of your appointment. A competing offer written on a different day may be based on a different market price, and the comparison accounts for that.]

The Terms, in Plain English

  • The offer is in writing. Itemized with weight, purity, and price, and dated within the last 7 days.
  • It comes from a licensed buyer. A licensed precious metals buyer or secondhand dealer, for the same items in the same condition.
  • We check it, in front of you. We may verify the offer and re-test your items at the appointment, the same way we test everything.
  • It covers melt-value offers. Gold, silver, and platinum. Numismatic coins, auction estimates, and insurance appraisals are priced separately.
  • No pressure either way. If we can’t beat it, we’ll tell you straight, and that offer is the one you should take.
